What is Grace Kids?
Our ‘Grace Kids’ Children’s Ministry program was launched in October of 2022.
The heart behind ‘Grace Kids’ is to teach our little ones the truth of the gospel of grace in a simple way that they can understand and learn what it is to grow as a child of God.
The Sunday School Curriculum we use is a series of books called ‘On The Way’, a three
year curriculum. ‘On The Way’ takes the children through the whole bible and includes
the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus.
The program was especially chosen for our children’s ministry as we believe it meets the needs according to our [statement of faith](/beliefs) and the needs of the children we teach. Our dedicated team of enthusiastic Sunday School teachers are all qualified with [Working with Children’s Cards](https://workingwithchildren.wa.gov.au/)
and have completed the Safe Churches course.
What Do the Grace Kids Teach?
Currently, ‘Grace Kids’ is catered for our four to nine year olds.
On a normal Sunday during school terms all our children begin praise, worship and
prayer with the rest of the congregation and then are withdrawn part-way through the
service for a time of song, bible lessons and craft activities applicable to the topic for that particular week.
Not forgetting our very little ones under the age of four - we have colouring in activities
that are prepared for them each week and are available with clipboards and pencils.
These are generally located on a table at the back of our worship area for parents to
access for their little ones to keep them busy during our teaching time.
